WINE, DINE & CRIME

A special culinary-literary delight awaits guests on 10th October in Klosters:

Persönlich editor-in-chief Matthias Ackeret will read at the Chesa Grischuna from his bestseller «Der Magier von Hia Oa», the very first René Benko novel, which has received great attention, particularly in Austria. Between courses, Herbert Moser, multiple award-winner as «Best Sommelier of Switzerland», will present a special wine for the next course. His choices are based on the fictional assumption of what René Benko himself would have enjoyed with each dish. Since he was known for always ordering only the very best, guests can look forward to being surprised – and to top performances from the kitchen!

Registration for this exclusive event is now open: hotel@chesagrischuna.ch

Included: a three-course menu with wine pairings and a signed copy of «Der Magier von Hia Oa» for 130 CHF/person.

(Limited number of places)

About the Book and the Author

The fallen real estate tycoon Remo Blanko is hiding away in a Zurich luxury hotel, struggling with his fate. To him, the culprit for his downfall is clear: star photographer Augusto Venzini. When Blanko is unmasked during the traditional Sechseläuten parade, there is only one option left for him: escape to Hiva Oa, the most remote place in the world. Yet even there, his creditors won’t leave him in peace.

A novel about love, greed, and the irrepressible urge to be someone else.

The NZZ wrote of a novel «full of imagination, pace, and wit», while the Austrian newspaper Presse called it «a prophetic novel».

Author Matthias Ackeret is, in his main profession, publisher of «persönlich» and persoenlich.com, Switzerland’s leading communications publisher. The doctor of law has written several novels, all of which have been positively reviewed by the press, as well as the business bestseller «The Blocher Principle». He lives in Zurich.
