Dana Gillespie has produced over 50 albums in various musical styles throughout her career. In 1974 she released a cover version of David Bowie's Andy Warhol as a single. On the accompanying glam rock-influenced LP Weren't Born a Man : Dizzy Heights and Mother, Don't Be Frightened.
She had her biggest hit in 1983 with the single Move Your Body Close to Me . During this time she was also a member of the Austrian Mojo Blues Band and hosted a world music show on Blue Danube Radio for a few years.
