From December, skiing in the snow-covered ski area of Klosters-Davos is the sporty attraction. It’s in fact one of the largest skiresorts of Switzerland. The legendary «Chesa Grischuna» is located in the centre of traditional Klosters. The famous «Schellenursli» painter Alois Carigiet painted the façades and interiors and it is a total work of art of local craftsmanship and design from the 1930s. The «Chesa» became internationally known in the 1940s and -50s, when Hollywood stars such as Greta Garbo, Audrey Hepburn, Bing Crosby and Gene Kelly stayed here. This gave the hotel the nickname «Hollywood on the Rocks». However, the comfort of the hotel has not been left in the past; all rooms are equipped with marvellous box-spring mattresses, bathrobes, beauty products, cable TV, guest WiFi, a fruit basket and a large bottle of Klosters water.
The «Chesa» is also known for its good food! With 14 Gault Millau points, the restaurant is one of the best in the whole region of Prättigau.
