Experienced hotelier Marcus van Nierop took over the management of the hotel and restaurant in summer 2024. Born in the Netherlands, he grew up in Belgium, studied in Antwerp and brings with him a wealth of experience as a hotel manager in Belgium, Scotland, America and Switzerland. Among other things, he has managed the Palace Hotel in Wengen, built up the Jufa Hotel in Savognin and was the resident manager of the US ambassador to NATO in Brussels for nine years. He moved to Klosters in mid-June and is enjoying his new surroundings: «I've been lucky enough to work in special places in my working life. Klosters and in particular the history of the legendary Chesa Grischuna have fascinated and inspired me from the very beginning. It is a great honor for me to continue the legacy of this wonderful house.»
